It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Michael Dell, a cherished member of the Northern Lights Fly Fishers in Edmonton, AB, a chapter of Freshwater Conservation Canada. Michael was a passionate angler and an unwavering advocate for freshwater conservation. His dedication to protecting Alberta’s rivers and streams inspired many within our community. We thank him dearly for his dedication and support of our organization. Michael’s legacy will live on in the waters he cared for and in the continued efforts of those he inspired to steward these vital ecosystems. Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of know him.
Michael contributed to countless projects and initiatives over many years with the Northern Lights Fly Fishers. He was a great teacher, mentor, leader and friend. He never missed an opportunity to volunteer and his contributions are far too numerous to list here. We will miss him dearly.
