January Seminar – Fly Fishing Lakes in the Edmonton Region

Unravel the mysteries of fly fishing lakes, increase your catch rate and learn where and how to find and hook the largest trout, pike, walleye and lake whitefish in the Edmonton region!

On Saturday, January 20th, flyfishing guide, author, and TV personality Phil Rowley is taking a break from his North American speaking tour to offer a one day seminar on fly fishing his home region. As well as information on locations, tactics, hatches and equipment, Phil has also agreed to demonstrate how to tie his favourite and most effective flies.

It’s at Grant MacEwan Downtown Campus, 10700-104 Ave., Edmonton, Room 6-212 from 9:00 to 4:30 and tickets are just $30. Get them online now at Eventbrite  as attendance is limited in order to provide opportunity to ask questions and get answers from one of North America’s most respected stillwater anglers.

There will also be opportunity to win a guided trip for two with Phil, door prizes, a variety of donated items and to enter a raffle for one of Don Andersen’s classic bamboo rods.

The seminar is sponsored by Northern Lights Fly Fishers, the Edmonton Chapter of Trout Unlimited Canada. Parking is available. Bring your own lunch though, if you prefer, some local fast food establishments will be open.
