Athabasca Rainbow – Survey

Athabasca Rainbow Trout are currently under review for a federal listing of Endangered under the species at risk act.  As part of this process the Government of Canada has begun their public consultation.  The federal government would like to receive your comments on the potential impacts to listing or not listing the Athabasca Rainbow Trout to the List of Wildlife Species at Risk under SARA designated as Endangered.

Please forward the following link to your members and anyone else that may be interested in completing the survey.  The online survey is open until Feb 9, 2016.

Also a few of the fisheries staff from the Upper Athabasca Region will be working a table at Cabelas this Friday and Saturday (one store on each day) providing information on upcoming regulation changes and conducting a survey to get feedback on our proposed changes.  Please let you members know as we will do our best to capture all the feedback and answer as many questions as we can.
